It’s about being artistic and about our kids learning various facts of Oklahoma’s beautiful treasures. We understand how important it is that children learn about their state and natural environment from butterflies and birds and, especially, our beautiful wildflowers that landscape our state. OGC, districts and clubs sponsor community events across the state every year and this year we take it a step further and offer support of your community clubs, churches, or school if you would like to participate. The coloring contest is a great way to promote our great state of Oklahoma.
Remember, the Oklahoma Garden Clubs, Inc. offers a monetary reward to the top winners of each contest.
Deadlines for the NGC and SCR are different than the deadline for the OGC contest (see below).
New this year, OGC contest submissions are DUE to the chair, February 1, 2026. This gives more time to schools, students and others to enter more of the contests. All SCR and OGC contests have a division for Senior Citizens. OGC There are youth awards that are State Awards only:
